A Lewis Maloney free kick just before half time was the difference between the two sides in Cambridgeshire tonight.
Bailey Gooda had cleared off the line for Boro in the first half before Ciaran McGuckin went close for the Seadogs.
Lewis Maloney scored a dazzling free kick away at Kettering on Saturday and tonight he hit the back of the net yet again with another.
Here's the moment the goal went in, from This Is The Coast Extra commentator Ant Taylor:
And the video, posted on the Valley Bar Seadogs FB page:
Scarborough have a lot to thank Keeper Joe Cracknell for. The shot-stopper made a series of second half saves to keep the home side out.
In the proverbial six-pointer, Boro now give themselves a 3 point cushion inside the playoff positions in 5th place, whilst keeping Peterborough Sports 4 points off the playoffs in 11th position.
Scarborough are in a series of 4 games in 9 days and there's little time for rest. Their next game is another big match at home this Friday (Good Friday) against another side chasing a playoff spot; Curzon Ashton.
Scarborough have already played Curzon three times this season, once in the league and twice in the FA Cup, all those games coming within a week of each other.
Scarborough fans travelling on the Valley Bar Seadogs coach had a rare treat, taking the players and staff fown the A1 too.
We imagine it's a fairly joyful atmosphere as the bus heads north, though there may well be a few nodding off as they're not expected to return to town until after 2:00am.
