The seven day average COVID infection rate in the Scarborough Borough is the highest it has ever been.
The latest figures for December 27th show the borough had an average infection rate of 707.1 per hundred thousand people.The previous high was 650 recorded in July 2021.

The figures show the Borough is recording an average of 110 new cases every day with a steep increase in the infection rate since December 16th.


The rise in the infection rate in the borough has been slower than elsewhere in the county and the country.
North Yorkshire's seven day infection rate stands at 1004, the all England rate is 1305.
