Jono Greening's men had scored midway through the first half against King's Lynn.
It was a fine Luca Colville free-kick that beat everyone and nestled in the roof of the visitors' net.
Seadogs had their chances with Jack Waldron shooting off target just before the opening goal.
After the interval, Rio Allan blazed a free-kick of his own over the top and Richie Bennett headed just wide.
The visitors from Norfolk then desperately threw men forward and forced home deep into injury time.
Things got even worse when Colville was sent off and a Lynn man followed for violent conduct.
That's how Paddy saw it on This Is The Coast Extra.
Greening told SAFC TV his side should've had the win but was proud of his players:
" I think we were a better team by far.
"I think we started the game really well. Played some really good stuff. think Dom Tear had a really good chance early doors, and then it was sort of, all us. Really lots of pressure. We obviously get the goal through Luca Colville's free kick, it goes straight into the goal and yeah, second half. We were absolutely terrific as well. Against the wind. We were absolutely fine in the game, cruising really. And yeah, just one bit of play where we didn't concentrate, didn't clear the ball, it bounced to their player and he puts in the back of the net, I think 92nd minute, something like that. But listen it's been a mad few days, probably five o'clock last night we had 11 players for the game. I think the players deserve all the credit."
The 1-1 draw keeps Boro in the National North play-off spots but drops them a place to sixth.
They host seventh-placed Telford on Saturday, with a 3pm kick-off.
The Shropshire side are two points behind the Seadogs with a game in hand.
