Boro took a point from Chester but it could've been even better for them on Saturday.
Jono Greening's men led on nine minutes through Rio Allan's strike in Cheshire.
However, despite a battling display, the Seadogs were hit with virtually the last kick of the game as Chester equalised.
Greening was full of praise for his side but questioned the referee's display:
"He's got a few things wrong today. They were challenging for 50 50 balls, getting a lot of free kicks, giving fouls away, but not getting buts. We were challenging him for 50 50 balls and seemed to be getting booked, left and centre, especially first half. Obviously a couple of injuries we've had to players let him play, go on and stuff like that. The goal for Chester night, fifth minute was it, our kids are trying to run the ball out of play. He chucks him over, should be a free kick. Doesn't give it. And they go across the goal, then back across in the score to equalize which is gut wrenching.
"But I just said to the players in there, they were absolutely phenomenal. I think the work ethic their attitude and application was absolutely fantastic all game."
