Whilst most players have re-signed, last season's top scorer Stephen Walker departs, alongside Richie Bennett and Bill Marshall
Scarborough defied the odds to reach last season's National League North Playoffs, securing their highest-ever league position, despite playing home games away from home in Bridlington.
Progress on the new pitch at Scarborough Sports Village has been swift, with just the new artificial grass to be laid. There is no doubt among club officials that the Seadogs will be back home for the new league season.
Speaking of the retained list, manager Jono Greening said:
Firstly, I just wanted to say a massive thank you for all the love and support last season in what was a challenging year on and off the pitch. It shows what a unique and special club we are.
So much credit has to go to my players and staff for what they achieved last season. We are delighted to have such a great bunch of lads who represent the club in a fantastic way and who have committed to us again for another season.
I would like to say a massive thank you to the players leaving the club. I know how hard a decision it is for both parties at times, but I wish them all the best for the future.
Also a thank you to all the players who came on loan last season, especially when we had loads of injuries, you were a credit to your clubs.
At present we are working hard on bringing more players in to have another exciting season and challenge for promotion again.
We once again will need your support, I’m sure we’re all excited about getting back home - let's make some more special memories together!”
Much love Jono
