Scarborough Athletic Push League One Opponents All The Way in Ground Return

The Seadogs were back at Scarborough Sports Village for the first time in over a year.

Barnsley sent a strong side and led inside two minutes.

Mo Fadera came close to levelling on 15 minutes.

Luke Hall and Dom Tear then both came agonisingly close for Boro.

Alex Purver threatened before Hall's appeals for a penalty were waved away.

The visitors added a second earlier in the second half.

Despite the 2-0 defeat, Jono Greening told SAFC TV he was happy with his side's efforts:

Boro are back at home on Tuesday against a Hull City Under 21 side.

Kick off is 7.45pm.
