Scarborough Athletic play their first home league game of the new season tomorrow at their temporary home in Bridlington as they face AFC Fylde.
Boro will be playing all their home games at the Mounting Systems stadium while repairs are carried out to the Scarborough Sports village pitch.
Boro Chairman - Trevor Bull - is hoping supporters will make the trip down the coast tomorrow.
"Our future depends on enough people coming to matches, so we need as many people to travel over to Bridlington on Saturday and start the habit.
It's a great place to watch football, we did it for 10 years there and we had a great time. We got two promotions there, which we enjoyed, so I'm sure people enjoy it.
They just need to get there for that first time and see how it all works."
Trevor is hoping fans get into the habit of making the trip to Brid for the home games and says North Yorkshire's Mayor has pulled some strings to make it easier for fans.
"We've been working with the mayor of North Yorkshire and his transport team, and they've been assisting us trying to get some discounts for fans to make it a bit cheaper for 'em to get through to Bridlington, so East Yorkshire Motor Services their buses, they're gonna have a reduced single adult fair of two pound 25. All you have to do is show your season pass or a match day ticket that you've purchased online, and you'll get that discount.
And then they've also got a deal on Northern Rail offering a discount of 25% for season ticket holders and our members. So if you're not a member already get a membership.
So yeah great offer. So no reason not to go to Bridlington. And of course, don't forget Valley Bar Sea Dogs. They're doing a great job getting people there as well. "
Trevor says the support from the Mayor, the Council and the Football foundation has been amazing and has meant the changes that needed to be made to the Mounting Systems Stadium to enable it to host football matches in Scarborough's league haven't ended up costing the club a penny.
"I had a meeting with David Skaith, the North Yorkshire mayor, and he said there's no point in saving football club if people can't get to Bridlington to watch it, so that's why he's been keen to help us and we're grateful for that.
The football foundation who managed the Premier League Stadium Improvement Fund they've given us some money towards the ground improvements of Bridlington, which we had to do, otherwise we'd be kicked out of the league and North Yorkshire Council have paid the outstanding balance on that.
So all the improvements of Bridlington have been done at no cost to the club, which is amazing."
The fixture tomorrow will be the culmination of months of hard work by the club's board, staff and volunteers to find a way to stage this seasons games following the bombshell news that the Scarborough Sports Village pitch would be out of action for 48 weeks.
Trevor Bull says it's been a long hard summer but that all the work will be worth it at 3pm on Saturday.
"I don't think I've actually had a full day off all summer, but it's worth it because we were playing a football match at Bridlington on Saturday, and that's why we've been working so hard this summer.
Still lots to do. And everybody's still working exceptionally hard.
Volunteers will be helping everybody on on Saturday at the ground so be patient with them.
It's new to them as well, so we're all learning together. It may not be perfect at the first attempt, but we're giving it our best shot. If we all stick together, we'll get through this. "
