Scarborough Athletic Need a Point to Make the Play-Offs

Scarborough Athletic can secure a promotion play off place if they can pick up a point from their final league game of the season.

Boro play Radcliffe at the Flamingo Land stadium at 3 o'clock on Saturday knowing that they have already secured their highest ever league finish and knowing that a draw would be enough to see them in the promotion play-offs.

Chairman Trevor Bull told Scarborough Athletic TV he is excited ahead of the game.

Despite the fact that Scarborough only need a draw to secure the play off spot, Boro boss - Jono Greening - told Scarborough Athletic TV the team are looking for a win.

A win against Radcliffe could ensure a home tie in the play off semi finals. The teams that finish second and third in the table secure the home advantage. South Shields have already secured the second place spot, Warrington currently sit in third place - level on points with Boro but ahead on goal difference.

Boro will be missing just Simon Heslop, who misses the third game of his four match suspension and Josh Barrett, whilst Bailey Gooda will be assessing his heel injury before Saturday after limping off on Monday at Morpeth.

Radcliffe, who sit in 15th, have won three out of the past four fixtures, including Whitby Town, Atherton Collieries and Stalybridge, however lost to Witton Albion after a dismal month of March, losing to Warrington, Buxton and Morpeth.

The game will be segregated, with visiting supporters gaining entry via the Swimming Pool turnstiles for section D of the Ground. There will be no admittance for home supporters via the Swimming Pool turnstiles for this fixture.

Admission is PAY ON THE GATE (Cash), however supporters wishing to be seated, avoid long queues or requiring a wheelchair space should purchase a ticket in advance to avoid disappointment which can be done online at https://scarboroughathleticfc.ktckts.com/event/scarradc/scarborough-athletic-v-radcliffe

Club Chairman - Trevor Bull - told Scarborough athletic TV he's hoping the town will turn out for the game.

Rhiannon Hunt is the clubs marketing manager she say the support from the fans at matches this season has lifted the players.

The club are calling for as many people as possible to get to this afternoons fixture.

If Boro can secure a play place then it will mean potentially another two games to play the first of which would be on Tuesday. Trevor Bull says there would be a lot to prepare if it was to be a home fixture, but it's a challenge he would like to have.

Trevor says Saturday's game would be a great time for new fans to watch their first match.

Kick off at the Flamingo Land stadium is at 3pm, if you really can't get to the match there is live commentary on This is the Coast Extra from just before kick off.
