It's ground-hog day in the Emirates FA Cup as Scarborough Athletic play host to Forest Green Rovers.
Scarborough Athletic are back in the Emirates FA Cup tonight.
Boro will replay their first round tie against Forest Green Rovers after the League 2 side fielded an illegible player in the original games.
The game will be concluded on the night by extra time and penalties if required. The winner of this fixture will head to Blackpool for a second round tie in a week's time on Tuesday 19th December. The winner of the second round tie will then face a trip to Premier League Nottingham Forest in the third round.
Club Chairman Trevor Bull had asked for a cup run at the start of the season and is excited to be back in the competition.
Speaking after Boro's 4-0 defeat on Saturday, which saw the side reduced to ten men, Boro Manager Jonathon Greening told Scarborough Athletic TV that having the home crowd tonight will be an advantage.
Boro were knocked out by the league two side in a first round replay last month, but The FA charged Forest Green Rovers for fielding an ineligible player in the Emirates FA Cup First Round Proper tie against Scarborough Athletic and ordered that the tie be replayed in a one-off match. It was also ordered that Scarborough Athletic FC retain all income from gate receipts from the match ordered to be replayed and that in addition Forest Green Rovers shall be responsible for their own travel and hotel costs.
Scarborough Chairman - Trevor Bull - is looking for the home crowd to make a difference at tonight's game.
Boro manager - Jono Greening - is an agreement that the crowd can make the difference tonight.
Tonight's match is all ticket, there will be no tickets or sale at the turnstiles and online ticket sales close five hours before kick off at https://scarboroughathleticfc.ktckts.com/event/scarfgr/forest-green-rovers
