Competitive rugby returned to Silver Royd and White Leys Road on Saturday.
It was the first time since the first lockdown, in March 2020, that league rugby was played in the Borough.
At Silver Royd, Scarborough scrapped back to level terms twice before losing out 25-18 in a thriller to Heath in North One East.
This was despite 13 points from man of the match Tom Ratcliffe.
Whitby enjoyed a bounce-back win, at White Leys Road, in Durham and Northumberland Division Two.
They beat Ryton 30-26.
