East Riding of Yorkshire Council has renewed its agreement with the RNLI to provide lifeguards at weekends in June.
The RNLI Lifeguards will be at three beaches in Bridlington: Bridlington North, Bridlington South and Bridlington South Cliff.
During June the service will only be provided at weekends. From 3 July, the service will be provided on weekdays as well, and will also include Hornsea and Withernsea.
Councillor Mike Medini, portfolio holder for cultural and leisure assets, said:
“I am delighted that we have been able to work with the RNLI again to fund the provision of this vital service, and I look forward to its further expansion for the summer holidays.”
