Police and Fire and Rescue in Filey are gearing up to host the second Emergency Services Family Fun Day on Sunday 21st August.
The event starts at 11 am and will finish at 4 pm. Filey Sports Field provides the setting for the event which will be totally free for families.
Sergeant Vicky Quigley of Filey Neighbourhood Police, said:
“It’s all coming together now, and we can’t wait. There will be so much for people to do and most importantly it won’t break the bank as entry is free.
“This year’s event looks as if it is going to be even better than last year and we are expecting exceed over 4,000 visitors. The interest that is already being shown by exhibitors and the public reaction has been overwhelming.
“All ages will also experience all the fun of the fair with the expansion of the event to include roundabouts, a buzz bomb and miniature train rides. Not to mention lots to eat and drink”.
Children and their families will be given a unique chance to get up close and personal with North Yorkshire Police vehicles and equipment and even get behind the wheel of a fire engine.
Live displays are also being staged by HM Coastguard, Yorkshire Ambulance and Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
The famous yellow air ambulance is even scheduled to drop in.
