Rain is expected to become heavier this afternoon and into this evening, with up to 50mm falling in a few places.
The weather warning is in force from 12:00pm today until 5:00am tomorrow morning.
The Met Office say 20-30mm will fall wideley in the warning area which includes Whitby and Scarborough:
