A new queue busting system is to be used to try and speed up call answer times at North Yorkshire Police
Last month one caller to the 101 line had to wait an hour and twenty three minutes for their call to be answered and the latest data shows just 62 percent of calls were answered in less than two minutes, the target is 90 percent.
Temporary Deputy Chief Constable for North Yorkshire Police - Catherine Clarke - says the new technology will help.
Acting Chief Constable - Elliot Foskett endorsed the technology and considers it to be a significant step forward.
