Today will see the final chapter of 'The Odyssey: An epic adventure along the Yorkshire Coast' which has been run by the animated objects theatre company.
Giant puppets and live music will be on show as the two-year Odyssey projects comes to a close.
Lee Threadgold from Animated Objects Theatre Company says that the project has worked with a variety of different communities along the Yorkshire Coast.
Concluding in Scarborough’s Town Centre on Saturday 17th June, Penelope, the patient wife of Odysseus, will grace the streets, standing over 3 metres tall waiting on her husband Odysseus to return and face his ultimate challenge.
The event, taking place from 11:00am - 2:00pm, will feature giant puppets, live local music, and free activities - from face painting to balloon modelling and a variety of other art activities.
Lee Threadgold says that people will be able to see the puppets up close.
The Odyssey is a free event, with no bookings required. For more information, please visit: http://www.animatedobjects.org/Odyssey.html.
