A year 3 pupil has tested positive for COVID-19.
The Principal of Bridlington's Quay Academy has confirmed that a year three pupil has tested positive for COVID-19.
In a letter to Parents the Principal, Mrs Broadhead, said that inline with advice from both the Department for Education and Public Health England all children and staff in the affected bubble are now self-isolating and wont return to school until September 28th.
A deep clean of the affected zone and classrooms is taking place.
The Academy remains open for all other year groups.
The pupils in the affected bubble will revert to virtual learning via Google Classrooms.
In the letter Mrs Broadhead said.
"The safety and wellbeing of our children and staff is our number one priority at this time, and we will update regularly via our website and through the MCAS app. We appreciate this is an unsettling time for everyone, and we thank you for your support."
