Officers will be in the town on Saturday.
Property marking makes it easier to trace items that have been stolen.
North Yorkshire Police say they'll be on hand to assist residents on Saturday afternoon.
They said:
'Your local Safer Neighbourhood Team will be hosting a property marking event at Proudfoot, High Street in Eastfield on 27/09/2025 between 13:30 and 15:00. We will be available to mark a range of items including bikes, scooters, garden tools and IT equipment, FREE of charge.
'Please also take this opportunity to raise any concerns you may have and to find out what we are doing to tackle the issues that matter to you.
'Everyone is welcome and it would be great to see you there.'
