Police Appeal for Information After Incidents in Eastfield, Scarborough and Thornton-le-Dale

North Yorkshire Police are seeking public assistance with several ongoing investigations.

The appeals relate to a burglary, criminal damage, and a van theft. The police are urging anyone with information to come forward.

Thornton le Dale Burglary: 

An appeal has been launched following a burglary in Thornton le Dale. The incident occurred at 00:07 on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, on Church Lane. A shed was broken into, and a Honda CRF 450 motorbike (VRM MV20 MTZ) and two electric bicycles were stolen. 

North Yorkshire Police are particularly interested in hearing from witnesses or anyone with CCTV footage from Church Lane and the surrounding area. They are also asking people to report any sightings of the stolen motorbike and bicycles in the vicinity at the time of the incident.

Criminal Damage in Eastfield: 

Police are investigating an incident of criminal damage in Eastfield that occurred at approximately 1.30am on Friday, February 14, 2025, on Manham Mill. According to reports, a suspect approached an address and threw a large brick through a window before fleeing. The suspect is described as a man, over six feet tall and of stocky build, wearing grey trainers, a black tracksuit, and a black hooded top with the hood up.

Van Theft in Scarborough

An appeal for information has been issued regarding the theft of a grey Ford panel van in Scarborough. The incident occurred overnight on Friday, February 14, 2024, on Westbourne Road, near the junction with Westbourne Grove. The offender(s) damaged the nearside rear door of the vehicle.

  • Anyone with knowledge of the incident or who saw anything suspicious in the area on those dates is asked to email [email protected].
  • People can also call North Yorkshire Police on 101 and ask for Ben Robinson-Brockhill.
  • To remain anonymous, information can be passed to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, quoting the reference number 12250028343.

North Yorkshire Police are encouraging anyone with information that could assist these investigations to come forward.
