An area of the town was cordoned off last night.
An area of Bridlington was cordoned off last night following what emerged to be mistaken reports that a body had been found wrapped in plastic on the railway embankment off Victoria Road.
Humberside Police say a cordon was put in place whilst the reports were investigated by their teams and colleagues from British Transport Police but stood down after it was confirmed to be a large doll.
Officers say the call to the force was made with good intent.
