A local councillor says residents can't park and some holiday home owners aren't paying council tax.
Parking problems for residents in Scarborough and Whitby need to be urgently addressed.
That's according to Scarborough Councillor Janet Jefferson who says the increase in the number of holiday homes over recent years is leaving local people with nowhere to park.
Councillor Jefferson is also calling for holiday home owners to be forced to pay council tax.
Many holiday homes are registered as businesses which changes how they are taxed.
Janet doesn't think that's acceptable.
