Pickering Pipped Despite Improved Showing Against Highflyers

Pickering Town were edged out by promotion-chasing Golcar on Saturday.

The visitors arrived in second spot in Northern Counties East Premier.

They showed why with two quickfire goals within three minutes of each other, early on.

However Pikes hit back through Harley Dawson, on 26 minutes, but couldn't force an equaliser.

Tony Hackworth's men go to leaders Silsden, near Keighley, on Tuesday, with a 7.45pm kick-off in Northern Counties East Premier.
