The Astra Zenica Coronavirus vaccine will start to be delivered to vaccination centres across North Yorkshire in the next couple of days.
The new vaccine can be stored at higher temperatures than the Pfizer vaccine making it easier to deploy to more locations.
The Government hopes more than 7-hundred sites across England will be able to deliver the jab by the end of the week including GP surgeries.
Amanda Bloor from the NHS in North Yorkshire says it's a welcome development.
Amanda says there is now a well developed network of vaccination centres in the county.
