Tasers have been used 807 times by North Yorkshire Police in the last three years including in a small number of incidents involving children.
The latest data shows that the weapons were drawn 17 time in incidents involving children but that no tasers were actually fired at anyone under 18.
North Yorkshire's Assistant Chief Constable, Mark Pannone, says the force take the use of Tasers extremely seriously and that they carefully record any incident where they are used.
The data from North Yorkshire Police shows that in the vast majority of the 807 Taser incidents the devices were not fired.

The data is for the period 01/09/2018 – 31/10/2021 - It shows that throughout this period there has been a total of 807 records of Taser use.
The records include all possible actions going through the increasing stages of drawn, aimed, arced, red dotted or fired.
The figures also show a number of taser incidents involving children although the use of this tactic is less prevalent in the 11-17 year age group who represent 12.29% of all Use of Force subjects but only 5.58% of those against whom Taser was used (any stage).
Assistant Chief Constable, Mark Pannone, says Tasers were draw 17 times in incidents involving children.
