His Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabularies and Fire Services have looked into the performance of North Yorkshire Police.
95% of all violent crimes and 96.2% of sexual crimes are reported in North Yorkshire- something the inspectorate regards as outstanding.
The deputy chief constable of North Yorkshire Police is Scott Bisset.
He says it's all about the public believing in the force:
Scott says there's a perception crime is generally under-reported and that North Yorkshire is not immune to that.
He adds that every crime report can be crucial in getting the right outcome:
