North Yorkshire Police Chiefs Want Action On 'Constant' Quad Bike Problem

Quad bike thefts are being made easier by old fashioned technology, that's a concern from Sergeant Mark Earnshaw of North Yorkshire Police.

He says the use of moped engines and keys from the 1980s is helping thieves and makers could do more:

Addressing deputy mayor Jo Coles, Tim Forber's hoping the National Police Chiefs Council and the Association of Police and Crime Commissioners can work together in the country's largest county.

The force's Chief Constable says it's a real concern in North Yorkshire:
