North Yorkshire Police say they have taken steps to ensure a technical issue which lead to emergency calls being diverted to Humberside for a time last month doesn't reoccur.
Assistant Chief Constable - Elliot Foskett - says the well rehearsed back-up procedures worked well and investigations in to the cause of the problem have been carried out.
Some emergency calls to North Yorkshire Police were diverted to call handlers in Humberside during the technical problems in the North Yorkshire Force Control room.
