The digital forensic unit backlog at North Yorkshire Police has been significantly reduced.
That's according to North Yorkshire Police Deputy Chief Constable - Mabs Hussain - who says that the reduction has only been made possible thanks to the hard work of the team in the department.
In March 2023, His Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire & Rescue Services reviewed North Yorkshire Police and found that reducing the backlog within the digital forensic unit was an area that 'needed improvement'.
Mabs Hussain admits that there is a lot still to be done to meet their targets.
