North Yorkshire's Mayor has thanked emergency services and the general public for their efforts over the last fortnight.
David Skaith also reminded the public to observe road closures which remain in place due to heavy smoke.
He said the efforts from firefighters have been incredible, with members of the public and farmers working selflessly alongside them:
"So I'd just like to particularly acknowledge the patience and the corporation of the public and the local communities who have been really affected by this fire. Our firefighters have been doing an incredible job and grateful for all their work and commitment of this incident over the last couple of weeks now.
"A wider thank you again to the farmers and landowners in the area as well, who have committed a lot of time and effort and energy in, into supporting our fire colleagues there as well."
Work continued at the Langdale Moor site on Saturday:
Mayor Skaith has this message for anyone coming to North Yorkshire or anyone driving in the area:
" Be mindful please of those road closures. And when you're planning your journeys, those road closures are there for the safety of the public and our responders. So please do take notice of those and also understanding that the county is still open and we obviously still welcome people to, in and around York and North Yorkshire.
"We understand that there are gonna be areas in around the fire that are closed for those safety elements. So please bear that in mind when you are planning to come to York and North Yorkshire."
