North Yorkshire's Fire service says it's seen a big fall in the number of false alarms it's called to after introducing a policy of charging for the call outs.
Director of Service Improvement - Damian Henderson - says a programme of education for local businesses has also helped to reduce the number of false alarms.

Deputy Chief Fire Officer - Matt Walker - says they've been working with local businesses to reduce the number of call outs, and says so far they haven't had to charge anyone.
