A nine year old girl in Scarborough is today having 12 inches of her hair cut off for the Little Princess Trust.
Reeva Akkary, from Scarborough, will be getting 12 inches of her 15 inch hair cut off at Novia Hair Salon this morning.
Rachael Gibson, who's the mother of Reeva, explains why her daughter is having her hair cut for the charity.
Reeva has raised nearly £600 and the money, along with the 12 inches of hair, will be going to the Little Princess Trust.
The charity provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or other conditions.
Rachael says that the money raised has been generously donated by friends and family following it being shared on social media.
