The NHS has confirmed further dates for patients transferring over to Drs Reddy & Nunn GP practice in Bridlington
Following the transfer of patients from Bridlington's Practice One to Drs Reddy & Nunn which took place on 10 January 2023, Bridlington Primary Care Network have confirmed the transfer dates for patients who are currently registered with Wolds View and Field House Surgery in the town.
The Primary Care Network says:
"Following changes to General Practice, which will see Field House Surgery, Practice One and Wolds View cease to operate by 31 March 2023, patients will be safely and securely transferred across to Drs Reddy & Nunn on the following dates:
- 21 February 2023 – Wolds View patients to transfer over to Drs Reddy & Nunn
- 14 March 2023 – Field House patients to transfer over to Drs Reddy & Nunn
There is no change for patients registered at Humber Primary Care who will continue to have their care provided by the practice. There will be minimal disruption to services during the changes to primary care in Bridlington which will enable greater provision of personalised and integrated health and social care for all."
Dr Priya Reddy, Bridlington Primary Care Network (PCN) Clinical Director and Partner at Drs Reddy & Nunn said:
“I would like to reassure patients that you do not have to do anything, everyone will automatically transfer across, and no one will be missed. If you are affected by this change you will receive a letter confirming the transfer date and providing more details.
“Once your record has transferred over, you will be able to contact Drs Reddy & Nunn the next working day.”
To help explain these changes and to answer any questions patients may have, Bridlington Primary Care Network is hosting a second drop-in event on Thursday 19 January 2023 from 4:30pm to 7:00pm in the Sessions Room, Bridlington Spa, South Marine Drive, Bridlington, YO15 3JH.
Dr Priya Reddy continues:
“We would like to reassure all our patients, current and future, that plans are progressing well, and everyone will benefit from the strength and stability of being part of a larger, single practice group. If anyone has any concerns due to the changes taking place or the transfer of their records, then please do come along to the event on Thursday, 19 January 2023. I, along with several of our NHS colleagues will be on hand to reassure and alleviate any concerns you may have. I’d also like to thank everyone for their patience and support as we embed these changes which will help with the longer-term sustainability of primary care in Bridlington.”
For people who cannot attend the event, information about the changes will continue to be available online at https://www.eastridingofyorkshireccg.nhs.uk/our-plans/improving-primary-care-services-in-bridlington/.
Hard copies of all the information are also available in GP practices.
