It was a bitter-sweet day for our Yorkshire Coast rugby sides, with Whitby, Scarborough and Bridlington all in action.
There were silences across the country in memory of Queen Elizabeth II.
When the games did get underway, Scarborough lost 36-21 at Malton & Norton, in North East 2.
In the same division, Bridlington thumped Bradford & Bingley 64-19.
Whitby suffered their first defeat of the new season, 39-10, at Bishop Auckland, in Durham & Northumberland 2.
