North Yorkshire Police say a missing man who was thought to be in the Whitby area has been found.
North Yorkshire Police had issued an appeal to help locate the man after growing increasingly concerned for his welfare.
In an update on Wednesday the force said:
"The 51-year-old man who went missing yesterday from Goole and was believed to be in the Whitby area has been found safe and well.
Thank you to all who shared the appeal to locate him."
