Both Scarborough and Whitby came away from their midweek fixtures with wins but there was a defeat for Bridlington town.
In last nights football action Scarborough Athletic picked up all three points in a 2-0 away win at Gainsborough.
Boro boss Jono Greening told Scarborough Athletic TV after the match that he was delighted with the points but also really pleased with the all round performance from the team.
Scarborough are now 8th in the Pitching In Northern Premier League table.
Whitby were also victorious last night with a 3-1 win at Ashton, that makes them third in the table on goals difference, they are level on points with the top two teams, Buxton and South Shields.
There was disappointment for Bridlington Town last night though. They suffered a 3-1 defeat to Stockton Town.
