Children will design the Mayor's Christmas Card & shop owners are being asked to decorate their windows.
Bridlington's Mayor, Councillor Liam Dealtry has told This Is The Coast's Paddy at Breakfast that he is after young budding artists to take part in the annual Town Council Bridlington’s Christmas card competition.
The competition is open to children aged between 5 and 16 years old.
The winning entry will win a £50 Argos voucher and your design will be printed and used by the Mayor as his official Christmas card for this year. There are also Argos vouchers for 2nd and 3rd placed entries of £30 and £20.
The Mayor told Paddy, the cards go far and wide:
"Design the front of my Christmas Card which goes out to all the Mayors in the area. It goes out to the Queen, the Prime Minister and I usually send one to the President of the United States of America too. It's just to promote Bridlington. The child gets their name around the world. It's nice for any schools to get involved or any groups to get involved. Send your design to the Town Council by Sunday 22nd November and to our offices at 2A Marshall Avenue in Bridlington".

Councillor Dealtry also announced details of the annual Christmas window display competition:
"We've done it for quite a few years. This year we're trying to get as many people as possible because there's no christmas light switch on this year. Every retailer, every shop if we can, spark up the windows as best as you can. Let's get Bridlington sparkling".
The Winning Christmas Retailer will receive a trophy for a year and a Town Council Plaque to keep forever.
Application forms needs to be in by Sunday 22nd November.
