A man has been arrested in connection with the knife point robbery in Scarborough earlier this week.
The incident happened at 5.15pm on Wednesday 30 March at Manor Road Stores on Manor Road when a male entered the store, pointed a knife at the shop worker and demanded that she open the till.
North Yorkshire Police have confirmed that in the early hours of this morning, a 28-year-old Scarborough man was arrested on suspicion of robbery and possession of a bladed article in a public place. He remains in police custody for questioning.
Detectives have thanked everyone who has called in with information so far to support the investigation, including the female who entered the store shortly after the robbery who they wanted to speak to.
