The team behind North Yorkshire's response to the COVID pandemic are asking us to plan ahead for any day trips we might make this weekend and to minimise the distance travelled wherever possible.
Up to six people or two households can now meet outdoors but not indoors.
And although there is no limit on how far you can travel, Richard Webb from the county council is asking people to make sensible decisions.
While encouraging people to get fresh air and take exercise, North Yorkshire County Council is asking people to use all the available space and is asking people from outside the county not to visit.
Richard Webb is reminding people that not all facilities will be open and any trips out need to take that into account.
