To celebrate the international day of older persons, Age Uk North Yorkshire Coast and Moors are holding an event in Filey today.
Filey Councillor Sam Cross will be in attendance as well as other organisations such as the police and fire services.
Louise Cramond is the Director of Independent Living at Age UK North Yorkshire, she says the idea is help older people connect.
The event is being held at the Age UK Hub Belle Vue Street and The Concert Hall Evron Centre, John Street, Filey.
Members of the public are welcome to go along to the event between 11am - 3:30pm.
Louise Cramond says that it's all about getting older people talking.
