Improvements to Burglary and Shoplifting Measures on North Yorkshire Coast

North Yorkshire Police says it is working hard to tackle burglary and shop lifting on the coast.

Retailers on the North Yorkshire Coast will soon be able to report shoplifting offences online and upload relevant CCTV footage.

North Yorkshire Police is introducing the system to help streamline the reporting process.

Assistant Chief Constable - Elliot Foskett - hopes it will make reporting the crime easier for shop owners.

North Yorkshire Police says it is also improving it's response to residential burglary.

ACC Elliot Foskitt says detection rates are improving with the Yorkshire Coast being a big area of improvement for the force.
