Despite soaring temperatures, there's ice skating in Barrowcliff on Saturday.
One of the organisers is Bill Chatt:
" It's a free event to anybody who wants to attend. It's at Rayfield Church on Rayfield Drive and we've got our skating ring so people can pop along and have a go at skating. It's not realized it's that plastic stuff, but it still represents quite well. We've got bouncy castles, so you can bring your kids and have a go on them.
We've got free food. So people can pop in, have a hot dog and a cup of tea, or a church always puts some cakes on. And the most important lady of the day is the face painter. And this year, because it's so popular, we've actually got three face painters because everybody seems to like to have the face painter."
The event's on from noon until 4pm on Saturday.
It's likely to be very popular with Scarborough locals and visitors alike, as Bill agrees:
"It is. Barrowfest was a great success. Everybody came, said how much they loved it. But this is one thing what we've done for about seven years now, and the residents around here really do, we get between 600 and a thousand people will attend on the day. It starts at noon, finishes at four, and it's a case of just coming along and enjoying yourself.
It's not about taking money out your pocket or spending money, it's about coming together as a family. Bring your mom and dad. Let them see the grandkids playing. What an absolute fantastic way to spend what's going to be a glorious day on Sunny Scarborough."
