Hunmanby Primary School has this week opened a new reading house in memory of a former pupil.
Elsie recently lost her battle with a rare tissue cancer.
"Elsie's Reading House" has been created to reflect her love of reading and rainbows.
Her class teacher - Mrs Pearson - says her classmates helped fundraise for the reading house and they also received support from two local firms.

Mrs Pearson says the reading house will be available for all pupils to use.
Elsie's classmates had been involved in fundraising for the reading house before two local firms stepped in to help create the new facility.
Mark Palmer is from Flixton Sawmill
The money raised by the Hunmanby pupils from their dance-a-thon and other fundraising activities has now been used to furnish the house and stock it with books.
