Humberside Police say they are delighted to announce their employment programme for young people with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) returns in 2024.
DFN Project SEARCH is a one-year supported internship programme for 18 to 24-year-olds who have come to the end of their academic journey and are ready to enter the world of work.
The programme will involve interns completing a total of three rotations across different support functions at Humberside Police, for interns to develop their employability skills as well as provide hands-on experience in the workplace.
They've teamed up with Bishop Burton College, DFN Project Search HQ, Hull City Council and East Riding of Yorkshire Council to make sure the 10 selected interns are fully supported. They will have dedicated on-site Job Tutor and Coach to help build on practical skills with classroom-based learning.
If you or someone you know is interested in applying, please visit the links below to sign up for the interest event on Thursday 18 January 2024 at Bishop Burton College.
Applications for the programme close on Friday 1 March 2024, ready to start in September 2024. A selection day will take place during the week commencing Monday 18 March 2024
