"There is no list of services that we've identified to move from Scarborough" say Yorkshire Coast NHS leaders
Hospital leaders on the Yorkshire Coast say they are committed to providing services at Scarborough Hospital.
At a meeting yesterday leaders of the East Coast Service Review were asked to make the commitment by Whitby Councillor Joe Plant.
That questions drew this response from Simon Morritt, who is the Chief Executive of the York Teaching Hospital NHS Trust which runs Scarborough Hospital.
And his message that the York Hospital Trust Board is committed to providing services at Scarborough Hospital was reiterated by Simon Cox who is the Executive Programme Director for the East Coast Service Review.
Some services have already been relocated from Scarborough Hospital to other locations in York and Hull including Stroke Care, Oncology and Urology services.
