Sunday afternoon saw Hornsea Inshore Rescue were tasked by Humber Coastguard to reports by Hornsea NCI of a person cut off by the tide between Hornsea and Mappleton.
The lifeboat ‘Spirit of Hornsea’ prompted launched and arrived on scene to find the casualty half way up the cliff face.
Two crew members went ashore to make an initial assessment and it was decided to move the person by boat.
RNLI volunteers returned the casualty to the lifeboat station were they were met by HM Coastguard.
Tom Mitchell was Coxswain, Rob Cathew, Jake Roberts and Carl Handley were crew, with Adam Collins Launch Master.
