Four people were arrested at Northstead Flats on suspicion of drug-related offences on Saturday.
In a significant operation on Saturday, August 2, 2025, four adults were arrested at Northstead Flats on suspicion of drug-related offences. The arrests come amid ongoing efforts by local authorities to combat drug crime in the area.
The individuals, three men aged 49, 23, and 20, along with a 42-year-old woman, all residents of Scarborough, were taken into custody for being concerned in the supply of Class B drugs and possession with intent to supply a Class B drug. Following a thorough search of the premises, police seized a quantity of drugs and a large knife.
The arrested individuals have been released on bail while the investigation continues, with authorities emphasising the importance of community involvement in tackling crime. A spokesperson from North Yorkshire Police stated,
“We are working with our communities, which is one of the best ways that we can cut crime and keep people safe.”
