Four people are in police custody after a car was rammed into a house in Filey and a second property was damaged in Scarborough.
Properties in Filey and Scarborough were targeted during two linked incidents of criminal damage on Sunday night.
A car was rammed into a house on Grange Avenue in Filey at 11:18 pm on Sunday 19 July. The property sustained criminal damage during the collision.
Structural assessments by an engineer are now required to determine the full extent of the destruction at the Filey address.
A second property was damaged during another incident on West Street in Scarborough.
Nobody was physically harmed during either of the events.
Four suspects are currently being held in police custody in connection with the damage. Officers arrested a 27-year-old man, a 17-year-old boy, and two women aged 44 and 51.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said:
"It's believed these are linked and targeted events, no wider risk to the community has been identified."
Investigators are urging anyone with information to come forward to assist with the ongoing inquiries.
