Councillor Bill Chatt was the Scarborough Borough Mayor when the Queen visited in 2010
Queen Elizabeth II last visited Scarborough back in May 2010 for the official opening of the revamped Open Air Theatre.
Councillor Bill Chatt was the Borough Mayor at the time he told Paddy about the day and about how sprightly the Queen was.
Councillor Chat says he has fond memories of the day and the way that despite his nervousness, the Queen made him feel at ease.
Current Mayor, Councillor Eric Broadbent was also at the Open Air Theatre that day and recalls the excitement of local people.
