The Flood Warnings are in force for this afternoon's high tide and follows some overtopping last night.
3 Flood Warnings have this morning being issued for the Yorkshire Coast ahead of this afternoon's high spring tide.
One is for Whitby and the others for Bridlington.
Whitby's Flood Warning reads:

Areas most at risk include the Whitby Harbour area including Abrahams Quay, Pier Road, New Quay Road, Church Street, Campion Dock and Bagdale Road. We are expecting higher than normal tides over the next few days and as a result may issue further alerts/warnings. We will continue to monitor levels closely. Stay away from beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths and roads as the expected large waves and sea spray will be dangerous. Consider enacting your flood plan.
