There are flood warnings for Sandsend, Scarborough and Bridlington for this evening's high tides.
For Sandsend, the warning reads:
Storm Babet is forecast to produce large waves and spray overtopping on the coast this evening, 20/10/2023.
Areas most at risk include The sea front (A174) and properties adjacent to the road between 06:00 PM and 11:00 PM on 20/10/2023.
We are expecting higher than normal tides over the next 2 days and as a result we may issue further warnings for subsequent tides on Saturday, 21/10/2023.
Our incident room is open and we are closely monitoring the situation.
Please be careful along beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths and roads as large waves and sea spray could be dangerous.

Scarborough's Sandside are also has a flood warning:
Flooding is expected in this area. This means properties are at risk of flooding.
Please take action to protect yourself and your property and monitor local weather and river conditions. Avoid contact with, walking or driving through flood water. Consider activating any property flood protection products you may have.
Flood warning area: Properties on Sandside around the Old Harbour.

There is also a flood warning for Bridlington:
Storm Babet is forecast to produce large waves and spray overtopping on the coast this today, 20/10/2023.
Areas most at risk include the north side of the dock area, properties on Harbour Road and the Floral Pavilion from 16:30 PM (20/10/2023) to 03:00 AM (21/10/2023).
Overtopping waves and spray could affect these areas throughout today (20/10/2023) and into tomorrow (21/10/2023).
We are expecting higher than normal tides over the next 2 days and as a result we may issue further warnings for subsequent tides into tomorrow (21/10/2023).
Our incident room is open and we are closely monitoring the situation.

There is also a Flood Watch for the whole Yorkshire Coast from Whitby to Filey and in Bridlington and a Flood Alert for the Esk Valley catchment:
River levels are forecast to rise on the River Esk, due to heavy and persistent rainfall associated with Storm Babet. Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Esk, with low lying land expected to be most affected, particularly around Low lying land in the Esk Valley and some minor roads. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water. This message will be updated by 5PM on 20/10/2023, or as the situation changes.
