The Flood Warning is in force as strong winds are expected to cause overtopping waves and spray.
Areas most at risk include the north side of the dock area, properties on Harbour Road and the Floral Pavilion.
The Flood Warning, issued by the Environment Agency on Thursday (17th November), reads:
Flooding is expected between 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM. We will continue to monitor the forecast. Please stay away from beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths and roads as the expected large waves and sea spray will be dangerous. Start acting on your flood plan if you have one. Consider activating any property flood protection products if you have them. This message will be updated in the afternoon on 17/11/2022, or as the situation changes.
